We all want the inside scoop on the best restaurants, hangouts and things to do when we visit a city. Omni Hotels is taking it a step further by creating a social network that let's locals and visitors hook up and share this information. Right now, if you submit your local recommendation online, you can be entered in a sweepstakes drawing for one of nine grand prizes for a weekend package gift certificate for two people. Recommendations must be received by August 31, 2008 to be eligible.
Additionally, they have created "Local Scoop" packages which include the following:
* Luxurious room accommodations
* $20 gift card per stay
* Phone call from hotel to set up your memorable local experiences
* Evening turndown service
The packages start from $89/nt.
