San Diego, CA is one of the hottest travel destinations in the US and for good reason. This city touted as having the best weather in the US, is also home to professional baseball and football, a vibrant nightlife, and tons of outdoor attractions. I have had the opportunity to stay there many times and most often rates are well in the $150 to $200 per night range. However, the San Diego Holiday Inn Downtown is offering an amazing rate of $99 per night for stays from now through the end of January 2006.
This San Diego hotel is very convenient to everything you could want to do in San Diego. It is located right off of the I-5 freeway. In fact, if you are heading south on the 5, you feel like you could practically run into it as you are coming into down town. My fiance Jennifer and I stayed there in September when we attended a wedding being held out on Coronado Island. We enjoyed the hotel and had a wonderful stay. It is an older styled round Holiday Inn which offers you great views. The staff was fantastic. They do offer complimentary shuttle to and from the San Diego airport. Check it out for yourself. It is about 1 mile from the Gaslamp District, Seaport Village and Horton Plaza.
