e This week I am writing from the BITAC (Buyers Interactive Trade Alliance and Conference) for Technology sponsored by Hotel Interactive in New York City. We are staying at the New York Marriott Marquis on Times Square. A beautiful hotel that has been recently renovated. For rooms in New York they are large and have modern amenities.
One of the topics for discussion this morning was trying to anticipate guest needs. The general consensus was that hoteliers have lagged behind in meeting the changing technology needs of customers. Some of the suppliers in the room suggested that customers want the flavor of the city they are in while others believe that to make travelers comfortable we should give them the creature comforts they are used to at home.
What do you want when you go to a hotel? Send me your comments and I will share them with everyone.
