Oh the glorious summer vacation. Despite the fact that costs are up, the dollar is weak and fuel prices are up, Americans still won't give up their summer vacations. According to a recent AOL Travel and Zogby International poll, over half of Americans feel that they have less money to travel with this year, so they are looking at ways to save rather than for go their summer break.

Despite starting a new job later this month, I'm going to squeeze in a mini-vacation, either within Florida (i.e. the Keys) or use a gift certificate purchased via a silent auction for a min-vacation in the southeast. Despite rising costs in everything, I just travel differently, i.e.: cash in points for free hotel stays.
